It is the mission of the Kern County Cemetery District to meet the needs of our families by providing and maintaining superior cemeteries and giving our residents and their families an affordable burial.

About Us

Kern County Cemetery District is a Public Cemetery District, which is a special district branch of local government. We operate the Shafter and the Wasco Cemeteries. Our purpose is to give our residents and their families a beautiful and dignified final resting place for their loved ones.
